Boronda Adobe History Center
Welcome to the Boronda Adobe History Center! We are delighted to have you join us for a guided tour of our historic site. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following conduct policy:
For All Students
Respectful Behavior: Please demonstrate respectful behavior towards fellow students, teachers, tour guides, and historical artifacts and specimens throughout the tour.
Listen Attentively: Pay close attention to the tour guide’s instructions and information about the Boronda Adobe History Center. Asking questions and engaging in discussions are encouraged.
Stay with the Group: Always stay with your designated group and refrain from wandering off on your own during the tour.
No Touching Artifacts: Do not touch any historical artifacts or exhibit materials unless instructed otherwise by the tour guide.
Use Quiet Voices: Keep noise levels to a minimum to ensure that everyone can hear the tour guide and fully enjoy the experience.
For Teachers
Supervision: Please supervise your students closely throughout the duration of the tour.
Assist Tour Guides: Assist tour guides in managing student behavior and ensuring that students adhere to the conduct policy.
Encourage Engagement: Encourage students to actively participate in the tour by asking questions and sharing their thoughts and observations.
Address Behavioral Issues: Promptly address any behavioral issues that may arise among students to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
Lead by Example: Demonstrate respectful behavior towards the tour guides, fellow teachers, and other participants.
For Parents/Guardians
Supportive Role: Support the tour guides and teachers in ensuring that all students follow the conduct policy and have a fulfilling experience.
Encourage Respect: Encourage your child to show respect towards others and the historical site throughout thetour. Remain with the Group: Please remain with your designated tour group and refrain from wandering off on your own.
Lead by Example: Set a positive example for your child by demonstrating respectful behavior and actively engaging in the tour activities.
Assist as Needed: Offer assistance to tour guides and teachers if needed, especially in managing group dynamics or addressing any behavioral issues.
General Guidelines for All Participants
Dress Appropriately: Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for walking and exploring the historical site.
Follow Safety Instructions: Adhere to all safety instructions provided by the tour guides and refrain from engaging in any behavior that may pose a risk to yourself or others.
Respect the Environment: Help maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the Boronda Adobe History Center by disposing of trash properly and refraining from damaging any property or exhibits.
Enjoy the Experience: Take this opportunity to learn about the rich history of the Boronda Adobe and enjoy the educational experience with your peers, teachers, and parents.

Indemnification: Sponsor shall indemnify and hold the Monterey County Historical Society, Inc., its officers, agents, and employees harmless against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, and costs which directly or indirectly result from, or arise in connection with, any negligent act or omission of Sponsor, its agents, or employees, pertaining to its activities and obligations under this Agreement or from Sponsor’s use of the facilities identified with the Boronda Adobe History Center located at 333 Boronda Road, Salinas, CA 93907.
